Nook is a deluxe furniture and design store assembling cutting edge, high-end furniture, furnishings and accessories. At Nook we have a philosophy centered on beautiful furniture with longevity, resulting in inspirational pieces, world-class finishes and sustainable materials.
Our main suppliers are accredited with the Good Environmental Choice Label - GECA 28-2010 v2 Furniture and Fittings (Level A). This certification is the highest possible standard as set by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) and results in the full allocation of points on GBCA materials calculators. Internationally the label is recognised as the mark of environmental excellence and is used widely as the basis of green procurement and environmental architecture in Australia.
Following an independent audit against the recognition requirements of the Australian Ecolabel Program our range of Australian made furniture was awarded the “Good Environmental Choice” label for the Australian market. The Ecolabel is awarded to those products that meet or exceed voluntary standards of environmental performance. The verification procedure is managed via a Documented Quality Management System and Certification Program Manual which have made significant use of the iso 14 000 series.
All aspects of components used to build the white product, including timbers, treatments, air emissions, plastics; formaldehyde emissions have been tested for environmental suitability. The fabrics will have to be carefully chosen by clients to make the end product environmentally friendly.
